The tired and the poor
Will remain tired and poor
Until they learn how to exploit the system
Designed to exploit them
The tyranny of the 1%
Keeps the working class insolvent
It’s difficult to pull yourself up by the bootstraps
With a jackboot on your neck
Trust the invisible hand of the market
Pay no attention to the men behind the screen
It’s only big business clutching the purse strings
That fund Super-PACs and K-Street
The wolves of economic fascism
In the guise of capitalist sheep
The workers are fed lie after lie
About the correlation
Between hard work and success
And that merit will out
In their boardrooms the 1%
Are congratulating themselves
On record profits
And their stranglehold on the cost of labor
When the ones who control the means of production
Keep politicians in the pockets of their expensive suits
The state becomes an agent of capitalism’s abuses
Choking the free market, exploiting the workers
ECONOMIC FASCISM
